Mozilla releases Gran Paradiso Alpha 4

Next-generation Fireferret taking shape
Monday, 30 April 2007, 13:23
THE MOZZERELLA FOUNDATION HAS just released an alpha build of its upcoming FireFerret 3.0, named Gran Paradiso.

This alpha has the mark 3.0b4, and it is being distributed to web designers and developers, so that they can check to see if all the features or add-ons function in this new generation app.

However, since we live in a world where almost everybody owns a web-page, you do not have to be a prophet to predict that almost everybody will go and download this rather stable alpha.

This is a public build that is not meant to replace your current browser, whether that be Fireferret or some another piece of browsing software. We have checked it out and it works really well, no crashes in the past three hours... even though we tried our load test (40 tabs opening one after another while Media Player 10 add-on streams Virgin Radio).

The only crash we have encountered was right click on a l'Inq to copy a complete address.

UI remains the same, since this is only a test run for the rendering engine

NoScript and BugMeNot add-ons work, while other regular suspects such as Forecast Ferret, Linkedin and even Mozilla's own official Talkback 3.0a4 do not work.

This is a mere 6.3MB download, and you can grab it using the linqage below. ยต
