AMD does hand jive! with AMD live!

Consumers lack egosystems and need a logo

AMD CONTINUES to beat the Live gong although we must say it's quite some time since we heard murmurs of Intel's equivalent plot, Viiv.

The firm will tell any hacks not yet world weary of CeBIT in Hannover that it is launching an AMD Live! Ready! programme.

What is this? In AMD's own words it is "an ecosystem branding initiative designed to provide consumers with greater choice and simplicity for seamless enjoyment of their personal photos, videos and music, as well as popular videos from the Internet."

Fire the PR firm.

Just that one sentence includes several words that tend to raise the blood pressure. We are all consumers now, and none of us are people, all waiting for the multinationals to shovel stuff into our maws without our egosystem being engaged.

"Consumers are watching billions of video streams on their PCs every month." Viacom content on YouTube?

alt='alogo'The lengthy release includes public relations innovation in the shape of an "Addendum Quote Sheet: Ecosystem Support". But after wading through that we're still none the wiser as to what AMD live! actually is. But it has got a logo. Where would the consumer be without a logo, going forwards? µ
