Microsoft denies Windows CE slippage

MICROSOFT MOVED to deny a story on Taiwanese site Digitimes that its Windows CE 6.0 would be delayed.

A spokesVole emerged from a burrow in London to tell us: "Digitimes did get its story wrong."

The site had misquoted a Microsoft executive after confusing Microsoft's fiscal year with calendar year 2007.

"CE 6.0 will be shipping a final release version in H2 2006," confirmed our spokesman.

Dodgytimes has downed its story and replaced it with another one here. µ
