BT Digital Music Awards put Kylie up against Radiohead

Gong bash looms
Wed Sep 17 2008, 13:39

NOMINATIONS FOR the annual BT Digital Music Awards announced today – get voting people. The usual names are up there as the most popular, Kylie, Coldplay and Radiohead just a handful of the nominees.

The most coveted award is apparently Artist of the Year won by Funeral For A Friend last year, this year however Kylie, Coldplay, Leona Lewis, British Sea Power and Radiohead will battle it out for the title.

The year has seen artists experimenting with download services, Radiohead launching their album on a pay-what-you-like basis and Coldplay giving Violet Hill away as a free download single. Which is all grist to broadband-providing sponsor BT's mill.

Fans can view the categories and nominees and vote for their
favourites at www.bt.com/dma. You can catch all the action when the awards are broadcast on ITV2 on 7th October.

Or here, if they let us in. µ
