Microsoft releases ASP.NET AJAX 1.0

SOFTWARE GIANT Microsoft has released ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 which is also known as "Atlas".

ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 provides cross platform, cross browser support for a core JavaScript type-system. It also has a JSON-based network serialisation stack, JavaScript component/control model, common client JavaScript helper classes and a library full of functions.

The big idea is that it can integrate AJAX functionality within ASP.NET, and helps developers to AJAX-enable existing ASP.NET 2.0 sites without too much effort.
