Monday, 29 January 2007, 06:45
20TH Century Fox has subpoenaed YouTube to force it to provide information on who posted leaked episodes of its hit TV series 24 and The Simpsons.

According to Associated Press, Fox also subpoenaed LiveDigital, which said it had complied with the request and immediately removed the items. It is not clear what YouTube plans to do.

Fox was extremely miffed about the episode of 24 which was leaked because the four-hour premier was supposed to be its season showcase. The 12 episodes of The Simpsons identified in the subpoena were also posted online before being broadcast too.
