According to the site, Nvidia has been able to make Nforce style chipsets work perfectly well with Intel microprocessors in the past.
As we reported at the end of last month, it's just feasible that Nvidia might be able to get a licence for Pentium 4 and successor technology from its close foundry partner IBM, which would certainly make a difference in the cutthroat world of chipsets.
The same web site reported earlier this year that what's been nicknamed the Nforce 5 will support DDR 2, 800/1066MHz front side buses, 802.11b wireless, and surround sound, as well as the NV3X graphics core.
Whatever the truth of the Intel-Nvidia rumours, the lads and lasses at NVDA are keeping very very quiet about the possibility.
