Cray Rainier supercomputer to use AMD K8L

SITE BAD HARDWARE has published some specs of a future Cray supercomputer which trundles along at 250Tflops.

According to this site, the system will use the AMD K8L, named that by Intel. It says that an AM3 socket was planned for the processors but that's been canned now.
