Intel goes for server jugular on Xeon MP pricing

IN DAYS OF yore Intel charged a considerable premium on chips with heaps of cache, but that's set to change at the end of this month.

Intel will launch its "Tulsa" range of server microprocessors on the 27th of August, and at prices considerably below the previous iteration of Xeon MP chips.

Here's some details, hastily scribbled down on the back of a fag packet. The cache is L2. µ
