Microsoft attempting VoIP land grab?

THE CONSUMER Electronics Show in Las Vegas is almost upon us, and we're all wondering what treats the Vole will have to wow everyone in the New Year.

One treat might well be Microsoft getting into the Voice over IP business big time, judging from a press release from One Voice.

The Yule season is a good time for companies to make important announcements, because most hacks think Christmas is an occasion to take several weeks off all at once.

According to One Voice, its Media Center Communicator is a "complete multimedia comms package" letting folk chat and do other stuff within North America.

How intriguing. Here. Oh yeah. And Microsoft is also demonstrating its "voice navigation" stuff. Here. µ
