More overheating problems emerge in Xbox land

Can Vole make anything that keeps its cool?

WE ALL KNOW that Microsoft's Xbox 360 has a tendency to get a little warm and switch itself off, but it appears Vole's overheating design problems extend to its glorified joysticks.

The Xbox 360 has a racing wheel joystick to play some of its games. But if you would think that you could not make one of those overheat and blow up you have seriously underestimated Volish designers.

Microsoft has issued a voluntary recall on its Xbox 360 steering wheel because of a some incidences of overheating of components of the wheel chassis.

A spokesVole said that owners of the Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel should stop using the AC/DC power supply until they have obtained a retrofit.

Apparently it is still possible to use the wheel using battery power. Vole says there have been a small number of overheating incidents. No fires, personal injuries or damages have been reported so far.

It seems that Volish designers need a crash course in cooling.
