Firm sells dedicated graphics PSU

For that extra SLI juice
Wednesday, 5 July 2006, 11:48
A TAIWANESE firm is selling a 300W power unit dedicated to powering up high end graphics cards like SLI and Crossfire.

FSP said the Booster X3 PSU will cost about £50 when it becomes available, and is equipped with two leads to power up the cards.

Each graphics card will draw 150 watts, and the unit fits into a spare CD-ROM space on a standard ATX case. A lead extends from the caddy to an extension slot for mains power.

The unit has two tiny fans at the front, and lights up when it's plugged in. µ
