Apple Store San Fran to open today

Time to polish up the store front
Sat Feb 28 2004, 10:50
THE APPLE Store in San Francisco is set to open today after a slight labour problem that's delayed it for months.

See Apple slow to open SF Apple Store.

The San Francisco Chronicle says that the shop, on the junction of Stockon, Ellis and Market, will be the seventh in the Bay Area, and has two floors.

The same paper reports that a nearby store, Macadam, along with three other plaintiffs, have filed suit against Apple, alleging unfair competition.

Macadam has lost accreditation from Apple, and the paper quotes its owner as claiming Jobs' firm wants to put his firm out of business.

When the INQUIRER was in SF two Saturdays back, the Apple shiny shopfront was grimey from the traffic.

But presumably the lads and lasses have given it a bit of a polish since then. ยต
