Logicalis snaps up top IBM partner

Channel TBC buyout boosts managed services offer

RESELLER Logicalis Group has bought TBC, a leading IBM Premier partner.

TBC sells managed services and solutions based around IBM's Unix servers, database applications and middleware.

With annual revenues of nearly £30 million, TBC is a privately-held company, having undergone an IBM-funded management buy-out in 1999. The company was rated one of the top partners in IBM's 2004 Business Partner scorecard review, and claims to be one of a select band of Big Blue partners in the UK that delivers end-to-end solutions based around IBM's eServer platform.

The transaction is the latest of a series of deals from Logicalis as it continues what it calls a strategy of organic growth and acquisition to augment its offering. TBC will become part of Logicalis Computing Solutions under the leadership of managing director, Steve Ellis. µ
