THERE'S A DVD writer from Aopen that they are selling for £16.99+VAT. It's only a 2.4x DVD+R/RW but who cares for the price, cheaper than most DVD combo. It is a pulled OEM and can read DVD. It's available at morgancomputers. Would you prefer a 16x DVD writer then buy it from Amazon, a 16x Internal DVD Dual layer dual format retail kit including Nero burning software. £29.99 from Amazon including Super Saver free delivery. It is made by Ultima/Kobian I think.

Oh and while you are there why not buy this dirt-cheap four-star http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0002LHXBG/ref=_1/202-3858874-6193453Starlogic Multi region 2.1 DVD player for £19.99. It comes with its remote control and is NTSC and PAL compatible. Plays almost everything you might throw at it.

Speaking of LCD monitors, RDC can surely claim to have the cheapest 15-inch LCD monitors in UK. They are selling the Dell E152 15-inch TFT monitor for £90 inc VAT and delivery. Should you want to settle for something marginally smaller though, you can't compete with the Cellink L15CA from High street Giant PC world which cost you a breathtaking £63.87+VAT after a 5% voucher rebate.

Then there also that emachines 4260 computer with its gorgeous 19-inch LCD monitor, a DL/DF DVD writer, 3.06GHz Intel D 345 processor (533MHz FSB and 256KB cache), 160GB HDD as well as one-year free onsite warranty, media card reader etc. The price? £484+VAT after a 5% rebate.
