AOL has announced the official date that it will carry out its death sentence on the Netscape browser.

On March 1, the browser will have its last meal and be taken from its cell and be executed without even having a fag.

AOL put Netscape on death row at the end of 2007, when it announced that it would be ending support for the world's first dominant browser.

Punters will be able to download Netscape 9, but calls to AOL about things that have gone wrong with it, will be met by someone sticking their fingers in their ears and going la la la very loudly.

AOL hopes that people using Netscape will turn to Firefox and use the Netscape theme extensions rather than opting for the real McCoy.

Fags are banned on death row for health and safety reasons. µ
