Army of lawyers labour over AMD, Intel case

How many AMD, Intel lawyers can you fit on a pin
Thu Jun 01 2006, 12:18
A PHALANX of lawyers acting for AMD, Intel, and the 70 or so class action pleaders have produced a new protective order for long-suffering Judge Joseph Farnan Junior to plod through.

Theyhave to change things because 20 firms they subpoenad had various objections to things. AMD and Intel still disagree on several points in the order, however. AMD wants some things in, Intel wants some things out.

In, out, in out, you shake it all about. You do the hokey cokey and it all falls out. That's what it's all about.

AMD thinks that the public need to know the truth - it alleges we the people have a "tremendous stake" in the outcome of the case. What it really means is that it would like to put a tremendous stake into the heart of Chipzilla.

It was ever thus. Here's the PDF. Intel's objections are in yellow, AMD's changes are in red. µ
