From the makers of Final Fantasy XI

FINAL FANTASY XI Developers are apparently working on a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG)for Windows Vista when it comes out.

The game, which will also run on the PS3, was revealed by the Japanese news site Impress.

Apparently, when Impress hackers were chatting to FFXI producer Hiromichi Tanaka about the Final Fantasy XI's latest expansion, Treasures of Aht Urhgan, he let slip what else the group were up too.

Tanaka didn't provide any details on his as-yet untitled game for Vista and the PS3, which might be announced in May.

One thing he did say was that porting from Windows to the 360 was a fairly quick task. However PS3 versions required redeveloping the game almost from scratch. As an aside, this means that there will be no chance of anyone seeing Final Fantasy XI on the PS3.
