Can cell phones damage your DNA?

Four page article explores pros and cons
Fri Mar 18 2005, 17:06
THE LATEST edition of the University of Washington Alumni magazine has a lengthy article on the possible effect of cell phones on DNA.

The article focuses on research by Lai and Singh - research which is specifically refuted by the wireless and cellphone industry.

That research dates back to a study published by Bioelectricmagnetics, which claimed to find an increase in damaged DNA in rats following two hours of exposure to microwave radiation at "safe" levels.

The article claims that although the results of this study have been refuted, no one has attempted to replicate the same study.

It also suggests that Lai and Singh have been the subject of campaigning by vested interests.

The four page article discusses the pros and cons in detail, with the first page starting here. µ
