HKEPC checks the DFI LanParty CFX3200 motherboard which is based on the RD580 chipset, also known as the Crossfire Express 3200. This one boasts more PCI slots, active cooling for the chipset and eight SATA ports. We also find the ULI M1575 chipset - with HD Audio, SATA RAID, DeBug LED and GbE. The test roundup includes another DFI motherboard and a MSI K8N-Diamond Plus.
PC Apex tests the Coolermaster Hyper6+ CPU cooler. The HSF is compatible with sockets up to socket 370. It comes with six aluminium/copper alloy heat pipes. Not as small and light as one would expect. Its 100mm clear fan, and an unindentified thermal compound, cools well but the amount of noise is simply unbearable.
Digitlife reviews the EVGA e-Geforce 7800GTX KO ACS3 Edition 256MB PCI-e video card. It is entirely covered with a black heat sink fan with a single slot format. PNY is not known for its memory modules but rather for removable storage solutions. UK based Barry's Rig and Reviews checks the PNY Verto Gamer 1GB DDR600 memory 2x512 kit. A bit pricey and baffling, since PNY did not actually provide matched memory modules for the tests.
Motherboards.org reports the Corsair 3500LL Pro 2GB TwinX Memory module review. With its Trademark flashing lights, black heatsink fan and LED displays, the Corsair brand is the pick of many enthusiast rigs. The module under test is a DDR model so you might want to hold your fire until later. The 3500LL is a check of the chip, faster than anything before but expensive. µ
