SHARES IN RAMBUS (tick: RMBS) rose, after it seemed that whatever the FTC says, the firm is going to cash in a rack of Hynix coin on DDR and SDRAM patents.

(See earlier story: Judge stays Rambus Hynix case). The shares were up $2 during today.

AMD stood at $25.33 at press time continuing a rise it's shown this week, while Intel (tick: INTC) was in doldrum territory, down four cents to stand at $18.30.

The graphics boys such as ATI (ATYT) and Nvidia (NVDA) also showed the merest flutter of a hummingbird's wings, with the latter down 50 cents at $25.79, and the former up nine cents at $21.56. µ
