File sharing advocate has movie pirated and file-shared

Turning up the heat on Fahrenheit 9/11
Tuesday, 6 July 2004, 10:57
FAMOUS LEFTY documentary maker Michael Moore, who has gone on record as supporting the file sharing of his work, has had his latest flick pirated and file shared.

A jerky hand cam version of Fahrenheit 9/11 was being distributed in the US last week, according to the anti-Moore Web site www.MooreWatch.Com.

According to news.com, MooreWatch co-founder Jim Kenefick, said that Moore has said that he doesn't care if people download his movies or steal his book or sneak into his movies. Moore's comments came in an interview, clips of which have been floating around the Net at least since January.

He is on record as saying he doesn't agree with copyright laws and that he makes movies, books and TV shows because he wants things to change.

Kenefick told news.com that if he can use Moore's own words against him to be a bee in his bonnet, then he will.

Unfortunately neither Kenefick nor news.com were able to get hold of Moore to see if he actually cares or not. µ
