Design wins

NEW 3G MOTOROLA phones will use Nvidia 3D chip. It's a major mobile won from Nvidia.

The chip is the Goforce, made by Media Q made and noew part of the Nvidia empire after its acquisition.

The Motorola E1000 3G phone will use Goforce and the whisper is that it will be introduced in the next few weeks. It will feature a 1.3M-pix camera and Bluetooth

Motorola is a big win for Nvidia's mobile division - it's had some success with both Mitac and LG in the past.

But Motorola was traditionally ATI's playground, as the V600 and V800 phones are based on its mobile chips. That's what makes this design win even sweeter for Nvidia.

ATI and Qualcomm are not an easy combination to fight and Nvidia will still have to fight hard to get a chunk of the big money that's flying around. You can find more details about this phone here. ยต
