Intel man accuses AMD of lying about dual cores

Intel is introverted, AMD is provocative
Monday, 27 February 2006, 10:40
AN UNHOLY and unseemly row has broken out in the People's Republic of China with an Intel manager accusing AMD of lying about Chipzilla's dual core processors.

According to the People's Daily, Intel invented the concept of dual cores in 1989, and in 1995 launched dual core products - that's a new one on us.

AMD had challenged Intel to a dual core fight but said Zeng Ming, Intel's GM of northern China, results it had published were doubtful. Zeng said AMD had disseminated info about Intel's dual core chip since last December.

alt='tweedle'It quotes Zeng as saying Intel is introverted and would not respond to AMD "provocations". But if AMD wants a fight it can have one in China said Zeng, here.

Like Alice, we're keeping a low profile on this one. ยต
