The big money is on the net

IN THE land where players strap on armour to play rugby, a popular sports league, the National Football League is asking for $300 million to televise its matches on the Interweb.

The NFL has previously targeted television companies for its huge bills, but now wants to test the power of its brand in the internet.

It is offering exclusive Internet and digital content for more than $300 million.>{? It has negotiated a contract in the past for peanuts in comparison, and this expires in May. Apparently a number of companies are interested in the five year contract including Apple, Google, Microsoft, Sony and Yahoo.
