ATI's VP of Europe leaves AMD

Peter Edinger leaves after 11 years
Fri Dec 22 2006, 12:13
AFTER 11 years in ATI Peter Edinger decided to leave the firm. For the last few years Peter Edinger worked as a Vice President & as Managing Director of ATI EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa).

He wishes the new AMD all the best and think that the merger makes a lot of sense. "The new AMD will enable a lot of opportunities for our industry to drive the market on CPU, GPU and now on platform level as well," said Edinger.

It's a shame that he leaves as he was one of the few Vice Presidents in ATI who was always available for a chat with the press corps.

Edinger will remain in the IT business, he said. Alberto Macchi, the current VP or AMD Europe will take over his role. µ
