A HACKETTE in Taiwan sued by the head honcho of Hon Hai (Foxconn) has provoked a mass revolt by the Association of Taiwan Journalists (ATJ), Digitimes reports.

According to the wire, the chairman of Hon Hai went incandescent about a report written by Joyce Kuang of the Commercial Times.

The article, headed "Intel's new platform to benefit Hon Hai" was about how Foxconn might benefit from the introduction of the LGA775 socket.

Hon Hai issued an injunction against Kuang on the 15th of December. The ATJ is worried that financial wealth may threaten press freedom.

It is organising a petition and getting together with other press associations around the world to send protest letters to Hon Hai customers including Dell, Sony, Nokia and HP.
