Matsushita becomes Panasonic

It always was, really
Thu Jan 10 2008, 15:26

JAPANESE GIANT Matsushita is changing its name to Panasonic.

It makes and sells kits under the Panasonic name, and has done since fish crawled out of the sea onto dry land.

But now it’s decided that because so much of its business is global, it will adopt its brand name as its company name.

In other news, Asustek spun off its manufacturing and design businesses under the names of Pegatron and Unihan. It will now concentrate on selling kit under the brand name Asustek. µ
