Nintendo does recall DS adaptors

Not taking the Wii
Fri Dec 15 2006, 14:51
IT HAS BEEN a good news, bad news day for Nintendo.

Earlier this morning we reported how the outfit was not recalling flying Wii straps which have a problem with breaking.

However the outfit has since announced that it is recalling more than 200,000 AC adaptors for DS and DS Lite. Apparently these overheat and might burn someone.

The adaptors were all flogged in Japan and is expected to cost Nintendo between 100 million yen and 200 million yen ($848,600-$1.7 million) to get them back.

The adaptor was made by Nagano Japan Radio, so it is not really Nintendo's fault.
