SIS wins HP AMD slim client deal

PLUCKY little Silicon Integrated Systems (SIS) said its supplying its 741CX chipset for the HP Compaq t5720 high end thin client.

The chipset will support AMD Geode NX CPUs and AGP 8X.

The chipset is able to give desktop like features and performance, claimed SIS, which said it has positioned itself with AMD as a partner in developing future embedded technology.

The chipset supports the AMD Geode NX 1250, 1500 and 1750, using the Mirage 1 graphics engine. µ
