FOR THOSE OF you who haven't visited the Intel Design Challenge page, don't worry, there is still time. The official judging may be over, but the people's choice voting is still open.

Lets be honest, there is one I am rooting for, the Decomatic 12b from Slipperyskip Computers. We first met the proprietor of Slipperyskip a few years ago when he was showing off the Humidor PC, and followed him through the Unidyne and others.

Decomatic-12b

Having seen the Decomatic 12b at CES in the Silverstone booth, I can say that it really stood out. Silverstone makes some nice cases, but beside finished wood, they look, well, ordinary. The purpose of the Intel contest is to get funding to good ideas so they can make it to production.

This is a good idea. It also looks good and works well. Go to the link above, click on cast your vote, and get him a win. Please only vote once unless you live in Chicago where by tradition you can vote multiple times unless you are dead, then you only get one vote. µ
