Nvidia claims it's a high quality tuner, completely integrated personal video recording capabilities, media squeezing algorithms to save some storage space and that this is the only dual TV tuner available for both Windows XP and the Media Centre edition.
Nvidia has an MCE like interface for Windows XP users and it features what it claims is a very feature rich remote control that you can use with both OSes.
Nvidia dual TV tuner suggested retail price for MCE is $169, while the Windows XP user version should cost some $189. Hauppauge 500 is the only other dual TV tuner alternative. This device cost $199, while you need two ATI TV Wonder Elites to get this kind of functionality.
I guess that personal cinema is coming back to the forefront of the firms' minds, and it will be interesting to see this device in action. ยต
