EPIACENTER reports on the Commell LV-667 motherboard. I never heard of that brand before. They actually specialise in vertical market s only. The LV667 for instance is a complete system consisting of a CPU - a C3 1GHz CPU and the motherboard itself. It is only 17x17cm big and has one DDR slot available. What makes it special is the number of IOs that it hosts, especially for such a small board. I've counted 16 in all with four Serial ports.

Driverheaven reviews the Toshiba M70-159 laptop. It comes with an ATI Mobility X700 GPU, a tru brite WXGA 15.4-inch display and a Pentium M 750 running at 1.86GHz. With 512MB memory, it can be considered as a mid-range laptop, something that is not hard on the pocket. The actual review though had some discrepancies. The M70 also comes with a pair of Harman Kardon speakers which means that the laptop can be used as a true media centre.

Chilean website CHW review tests the Epox MF570SLI. Although Chile is not considered to be a first rank technology website, it is nice to see that even South American countries have access to the latest technology. The MF570SLI comes with the 570SLI chipset, which is not the top of the range. However, it does overclock well, comes with eight SATA ports and a good price.

Bit-tech testst the Leadtek Winfast PX7600GT TDH video card. It comes with a two year warranty and has a core/mem clock of 560MHz/1400MHz. The card comes with a HDTV-out connector, two DVI ports, a few accessories and a rather large heat sink fan. It overclocks pretty well and remains silent even under load. You might also want to consider BFG's 7600GT or alternatively the X1800GTO.

Hardwarezone checks the Asus P5W DH Deluxe motherboard. Squarely aiming at the high end, this i975x Express based motherboard is compatible with the forthcoming Core2 Duo and offers Crossfire compatibility. It has 37 connectors in all and seven expansion slots. You got a few goodies from Asus as well on top of the usual top quality of Asus boards. It is overclockable, stable and comes with heatpipes, which makes it particularly silent.

Slightly old review, but somehow, I managed to miss it. Legionhardware overclocks the AM2-based AMD Sempron 2800+ CPU. The 2800+ is clocked at 1.6GHz and has only 128K L2 cache. The reviewer was able to overclock the Sempron to 2.4GHz, which is a 50% improvement. This did not translate into a similar improvement in benchmarks though. However, scores do reflect the fact that it can perform close to top of the range CPU's like the 3800+. µ
