Gizmo will tell you when you've lost your phone

Will phone tell you when you've lost your gizmo?
Thursday, 26 July 2007, 12:05
A JAPANESE COMPANY will soon start sampling a chip that will be able to tell you when you've left your mobile phone in the pub or on a train.

A report from the Nikkei Business Daily said Superwave Corp and New Japan Radio will sample the chip in October.

This is how it works. You will have a small device that "talks" to your mobile phone all the time in a radius of up to five metres. If your phone goes out of range, the gizmo can beep or vibrate to tell you you've left your phone behind.

If you're a complete dunce and you've left your gizmo and your mobile phone behind, then you probably deserve all you get and you'll be snookered. µ
