ADOBE WANTS to put Flash on the Iphone.

Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen confrimed as much in a conference call to today a transcript of whcih tipped up here.

Narayen said Adobe has been fiddling with the SDK Apple released last month and wil build a Flash player for the device.

"We believe Flash is synonymous with the Internet experience, and we are committed to bringing Flash to the Iphone," Narayen said.

"We've evaluated the SDK. We can now start to develop the Flash player ourselves, and we think it benefits our joint customers. So we want to work with Apple to bring that capability to the device."

Apple CEO Steve Jobs has said that full-blown Flash applications are "too slow to be useful" on the Iphone. µ
