Hardware Roundup Proof is in the reviews

NOTEBOOK Review tests the Asus Z71V laptop which comes with a Pentium M 750 Processor running at 1.86GHz with 1GB RAM and with a 15.4-inch WSXGA widescreen display. Loads of photos and some interesting details about tthe laptop from a regular user.

Anandtech pits Hypermemory vs. Turbocache in a big review. They have some parts from nVidia, some from PNY and some more direct from ATI. Unfortunately, the guys plugged those cards into a high end gamers rig so results were bound to be skewed. Doom III, HL2, Wolfenstein 3D were amongst the software tested.

Hardwarecentral reviews the Sony SDM-HS95P 19-inch TV monitor. It costs $600 which is much less than what you'd pay some years back. It has no TV Tuner and uses the XBrite technology. It has terrific image rendering and a low 12ms response time.

Techreport checks the deadly but silent Gigabyte GV-RX80L256V motherboard which features a X800XL GPU, a HDTV output and VIVO for those looking for a rather complete card. It has a passive gold plated cooler which is more than a nice addon for those whose PC is in the bedroom. Not an exceptional overclocker but a very good performer though.

Legion hardware checks the fantastic looking yet cheap Chaintech VNF4 Ultra Zenith VE A64 PCI express board. It will probably be one of the best value for money board when coupled with one of those X2 chip. We've already covered it some times back but see for yourself how it performs. Guess it is cheaper to purchase this one and a top of the range Radeon X850XT board rather than a SLI board and two cards.

Three PCI express nForce 2200 Pro Opteron motherboards - K8N-DL, Iwill's DK8ES, and Tyan's Thunder K8W - are tested at Techreport. They integrate GB Ethernet, SATA II and extensive RAID support. These boards are not for the faint hearted though and while they may not overclock wonderfully, they are very good value for money for those looking for a dead serious server board.

If you are still not convinced about the superiority of AMD in the gaming category, have a look at the SLI comparison drawn by GamePC. They bring two motherboards, each with two 512MB BFG Geforce 6800 Ultra and 1GB memory. The AMD rig uses an FX55 while the P4 was powered by a 3.73 PEE.

Rage3D starts its article on the HIS X850XT ICEQII PE and Turbo version with explaining what the biggest mistake ATI made last year. The two graphic cards tested come with loads of goodies including six CDs, overclocking software, tons of cables etc. The ICEQ II Cooler is absolutely stunning and the performance is what you could expect from a X850XT. µ
