Now plays nicely with Volish browser

America Online's Netscape.com portal division has released version 8.02 of the Netscape browser. This updated version is apparently based on the same Firefox version as 8.01, but fixed to make it play nicely with Microsoft's Internet explorer.

Earlier versions messed with Internet Explorer's mind in an ugly way, causing the ubiquitous and integral-part-of-the-OS browser to display an empty page instead of rendering some XML pages. When this was discovered by the Redmond juggernaut, the Microserfs suggested deleting the Netscape browser from your system as the right way to fix the "problem". According to the 3-letter company, this updated version solves the IE XML bug and includes other assorted stability and performance improvements. Might be worth a try if you were disappointed with 8.0 or 8.01. Download it here. ยต
