MOBO FIRM Chaintech introduced a triple plan to sell its products to the market here at Computex.

The firm has stratified its product offerings into three bands, dubbed Zenith, Apogee and Summit.

The Zenith brand is aimed at high level enthusiasts and includes an Nvidia Nforce 3 754 pin motherboard, the ZNF3-150, and an Intel 875P board, the 9CJS.

A representative, Barbie Lin, claimed that the Athlon 754 board was the highest specced enthusiast mobo on the market. It includes slots for three DDR 400 memory modules, one AGP 8X slot, five PCI slots and one CMR. It also uses Via's Envy 24PT 7.1 sound, Broadcom 10/100/1000 Ethernet, and support three ATA 133 drives, four S-ATA 150 drives, and three Firewire ports, as well as the rest. The firm is also providing a number of accessories in different colours to go with this board, and the Intel based board.

The Apogee range, which was launched at Computex last year, is aimed at the enthusiast too, and has accessories, but Chaintech has also introduced a Silver Apogee range to keep the price down.

The last of its ranges, Summit, is for system integrators and includes products for both the Intel and AMD processor wedge of the market, with Via, Nvidia and Intel chipsets for desktop 32-bit and 64-bit processors.

Chaintech is sticking to its last with Nvidia based graphics boards, although it is looking to see whether its customers want ATI based graphics cards as well.
