INQ fed duff intelspinmeister info on 875P

It was up there on Wednesday night claim

IT LOOKS LIKE the INQUIRER was fed a red herring by Intel earlier this week when a man in Santa Clara told us that the BIOS upgrade would be up after a week or so.

A better mole at La Intella has now claimed the firm had its version up well before the rest of the pack, on Wednesday evening, when we were flying non wi-fi enabled, back to INQUIRER central.

Not that Intel has made a song or a dance about this, but the mole even fed us the URL, which you can find here.

And remember the cautionary note. In Intel's own words: "CAUTION!!! DO NOT POWER DOWN YOUR SYSTEM before the update is complete. This update will take up to 3 minutes".

And not a week, as the Spinmeister said. µ

* YOU LOOK AT THAT PAGE now and scroll down to the bottom, you can see something like the following.
