JVC HAS announced the Everio S Series GZ-MS100, made for recording and one-touch uploading to Youtube.

Designed clearly for the masses who revel in sharing their life’s happenings with the rest of the world, but unlike similar devices targeting Internet users it’s still a fully-fledged camcorder offering more than just shooting short videos for the net.

Its so called “One-Touch Upload to YouTube” that’s being touted for the device, runs hand-in-hand with PC and CyberLink software. In camera mode, it can record in 10 minute lengths, the exact time matching the YouTube file size limit and eliminating any manual editing.

The GZ-MS100 has almost the same outward appearance as the Everio G Series, but comes up lighter weighing in at only 0.60 lbs as it records straight to SD Card rather than HDD.

Up front, the GZ-MS100 has a KONICA MINOLTA LENS providing a 35x optical zoom, where the proprietary Gigabrid Engine adds quality-control by improving the S/N ratio 30 percent (3dB) more over previous models.

Other cool features of the cam-tube-corder are its Laser Touch Operation, first seen in the Everio G Series released earlier this year. Where all of the functions are controlled from a touch-sensitive blue-light-surrounding scroll bar with buttons – which saves in touching the 2.7-inch backlit LCD screen.

All of which means good quality, embarrassing amateur videos leaving an indelible stain on your character will be able to be seen much faster by everyone that doesn’t know you soon. µ
