RD600 is scheduled for October

ATI still loves Intel
Tuesday, 5 September 2006, 16:20
WE LEARNED that the contradictory RD600 based boards with three PCIe 16X slots are still in the works. The ATI's acquisition delayed things for a few weeks but the boards are not cancelled.

ATI tries to show as much love as it can imagine to Intel to prove that the business is as usual. Well it is now, but we don't know how long that will last.

RD600 boards should even be faster than the Intel top notch i975 chipset but we still have to see it to believe it. Some motherboard partners are still waiting to see the results of the acquisition to continue with the RD600 Intel motherboard project.

Eastern companies don't like unnecessary risks. RD600 is delayed for at least a month to six weeks, but then again it will be launched shortly.
