MONITOR MAESTRO Viewsonic has let loose a range of new models continuing its VG series.

The new LCD monitors are available in sizes spanning from 17-inch to 22-inch, meaning, as Viewsonic puts it, there's a model to suit all types of businesses no matter whether large or small. Presumably, small business use small monitors and big businesses use big ones.

There are 10 new monitors on the table from the new series and come on both widescreen, that's 16:10, and traditional (4:3 or 5:4) flavours. Buyers will have the option to pick out a model with both analogue and digital inputs, or to choose an analogue only model, for those old school analogue monitor connoisseurs. The new monitors also pack integrated stereo loudspeakers for listening to music and other such things that require sound of some sort.

All of the monitors will feature an "unequivocally stylish, slim-bezel design" said ViewSonic. 17-inch 19-inch, 20-inch and 22-inch models will all be available for The Buying. Supposedly the VG series accounts for just over 25% of company sales, and Viewsonic is hoping that the new models may boost that to something even higher.

"The VG series of LCD monitors has attracted millions of users worldwide and has become a vital part of ViewSonic's global success story," said Span Spinner Richard Millar, the regional director for the UK and Ireland. He reckons the new line.will "significantly enhance the spectrum of VG monitor users - from the traditional graphics enthusiast to all business users."

Surely, a traditional graphics enthusiast is still fawning over the wondrous technology of pen and paper? ยต
