Asus starts selling 19-inch LCD monitor

AS EXPECTED Asus has launched what it says is its first ever 19-inch LCD monitor. See Asus launches LCD monitors for UK.

The firm claims it's different from the pack because it's offering a zero bright dot policy on its units for a period of one year.

These are those annoying pixels which appear on some LCD and notebook units when you first power them up.

It is also offering a three year collect and return policy on the machines. The spec for the 19-inch monitor include two watt stereo speakers, res of 1400 by 900 (WXGA) at 90 pixels per inch, five preset modes using a hotkey, and 24-pin DVI-D digital input. The machine also has audio in and earphone jacks. Asus is claiming an eight ms response time. Here's a pic the firm supplied. µ
