What sort of mouse is a Skype mouse?

Consumer Electronics Show 2006 Really useful.

ONE OF THE COOLEST gizmos at the show was from a company called Yiyi Electronics. Its idea is simple, a Skype travel mouse, something which might make you scratch your head at and wonder why it exists.

Now, before you think this is another variant of the internet ready speakers, or an Intel instruction set that makes the net faster, this one really is smart. If you look at the speaker and mic jacks on the mouse, you start to get the picture.

When the phone rings, you pick up the mouse and put it to your ear. The underside of the mouse has a speaker and a condenser mic, so you can talk away. No awkward headsets to lug around, it is all in the mouse.

This may be a slight problem if you want to play solitaire while pretending to pay attention to your boss, but for the vast majority, this is a good thing. It even comes with a volume wheel on the side so you can adjust the sound without software. I want one.
