Hardware Roundup Drivers of our time
Wednesday, 13 April 2005, 12:49
GERMAN WEBSITE Origol3D has an extensive roundup covering ten versions of ATI's Catalyst - the original, Omega. DNA and TC ATI. They run a series of six benchmarks to find out which one will be the best.

Mikhailtech has two reviews for us. The first one is the Aeorocool GT Gold plated heatsink. Compatible with all recent mainstream platforms. The finish of the Aeroccool is beyond reproach and can take up to 92mm fans. Next is the April Basic system buyer's guide whereby they look for the best PC you can buy for $400 at Newegg. The only change in their configuration as compared to last month is the motherboard and a better graphic card.

Driver Heaven creates driver profiles for the nVidia SLI in this post on their forum. Well worth the read for those looking to get the best out of their new SLI rig.

Xbitlabs reviews the Thermaltake Tsunami Dream PC Case AKA VA3400BWA. Like many modern cases, it has a stylish finish including a mirror coating and a aluminium build. It even comes with a special cloth for surface dusting.

The moditory reviews the Ultra USB Flashdisk+MP3 from Ultraproducts.com. Apart from being overpriced - $50 for 128MB - and having a slow transfer rate, it does its job pretty well. Choosing a MP3 player is now more a matter oif taste rather than anything else.

Cooltechzone checks two motherboard - the first one is the Asus K8V-SE deluxe, a budget semi-enthusiast board. The second one is the MSI K8T-Neo FSR, yet another budget socket 754 motherboard. Which one will fare the better? See for yourself.
