DAAMIT acquisition to finish up this month

Shareholders to deliver the final yes

AMD SHOULD finish up the acquisition of ATI by late October, or at worst, early November.

ATI will have a final shareholders meeting soon and it is expected that these chaps will deliver their final yes on it.

To ATI shareholders disgruntled over their return on investment, AMD's accusation offer comes like an ace of spades in a bad poker game. They certainly won't say no to this juicy offer.

The final engineers' meeting and the real plans for what DAAMIT can do together will start after the final gongs of acquisition. These guys have a lot to talk about as in two years' time they have to come up with a GPU on a CPU and a bunch of similar products.

Farewell ATI, it was wonderful working with you (from time to time). Welcome DAAMIT. µ

UPDATE AMD today announced that the Fair Trade Commission of Taiwan cleared the proposed acquisition of ATI by the chip maker.
