OCZ starts the quad arms race

Dual DIMM kits, step aside
Thursday, 29 November 2007, 21:02

OCZ IS TAKING memory kits one step further than the normal 2 DIMM matched pair for enthusiasts. The company is now putting out four DIMM matched kits for the high end market.

The new 8GB Platinum PC2-6400 Quad Kit, or OCZ2P8008GQ in OCZ-speak, consists of 4 matched 2GB DIMMs. In case the name isn't enough of a clue, it is made of DDR2-800 RAM. With one set of these, you might be able to make the broken OS run within spitting distance of a 1G XP system. ยต
