AMD SAID IT has turned a bloke called Gustavo Arenas into the company's chief sales officer.
Arenas' responsibilities will apparently include ensuring coordination and collaboration among the company's regional sales organisations and between those organisations and AMD's global customers. We dunno if he'll have to coordinate when the NDAs run out.
Arenas will report to Hector himself. Or as AMD puts it, to "the office of the CEO." We can just see him now, barking at the oak panelling.
Arenas is promoted from a role as senior vice president with the company. He joined AMD in 2003, after working at Motorola for over 30 years, where at a guess, he first encoutered the aforementioned Hector. µ
