Abit to offer Web BIOS service in September

At last

TAIWANESE MOBO MAKER Abit played with a Web BIOS update for over two years but it's finally getting round to offering this service, like some of its rivals.

Web based updates are much easier and many companies made a BIOS update just a few clicks away. And Windows users are able to does this without going down on DOS or any of its rather obscure commands.

Abit knew it had to down that road and have tested it for two years, but apparently its Internet connection was up to the task, so they were worried about the connection breaking while you were updating a BIOS. Which wouldn't have been at all funny.

From the beginning of September, Abit will finally introduce this tool, a one click BIOS update. And the servers will run much faster than they used to.

Meaning that if you haven't a floppy drive - and quite a few people haven't these days, you'll be in luck. µ
