The challenge, shortened to NASC - no relation to NASCAR - will see twenty teams of university students from all over the world racing the 2,500 mile mile race which began in Austin, Texas on the 17th of July and will finish in Calgary, Alberta on the 27th. Currently, MIT is leading the way having just reached Omaha.

AMD is boasting that NASC organisers are supposedly using the HP Pavilion ze200z notebooks powered by the Turion 64 technology.
